The class list for the summer is still in production but I know for sure we have the following:

Knitting 101/ Intro to Knitting - If you have no knitting experience, or have tried a few times but quit because that scarf was just taking too darn long and you got bored, then this is the class for you! This class will teach you the basics, and together we will create something small, manageable and fabulous. Not only will you leave with a finished project, but you’ll have the motivation and the tools to keep knitting! Offered Wednesdays 6-8 OR Saturdays 11am-1pm (both ongoing start). Classes are $75 (not including materials) for 4 weeks. Join Chelsea or Katie for this great class!

Introduction to Sewing: Butler Bags - Amy Butler is the designer of beautiful fabrics and patterns. Using her patterns and fabrics in just two sessions you’ll have a great new tote or bag to show off to all your friends! This class will give you experience in the basics of sewing so that you will have the knowledge and confidence to undertake projects on your own. You will learn how to understand and follow pattern instructions. All materials for this class are available at Stitch House. This class will be held Tuesdays July 9, 16, 23 from 6-8pm for three weeks for $60. Katy is our Butler Bag specialist - you’ll have fun learning to sew with her!

And as always: Drop-in Help - Learn to knit or get help with a tricky part of your current project. Space is limited to no more than 2 people per session. Call to reserve your time slot today! Saturdays from 1-4 ($10 per hour) Katie is happy to help you!

Summer Camp for Kids ages 8-12 are welcome to Join us for week of fun, crafting, sewing and knitting. All camps run Tuesday through Friday and are either half days or full days. Discounts given for multiple weeks and children. Sign Up Early!

Greetings from Stitch House, on a rainy, soggy day!

But I shouldn’t complain. Paul planted the front window boxes last week and hung beautiful pots at the front door. Dorchester Day was also great and the real summer is just around the corner. And, before you know it, I will be complaining about the heat. So things are good.

Next Saturday, June 20, Stitch House is going shopping in NYC! Join us for a day of cruising the fabric district for beautiful fabrics and sewing supplies. We’ll find a fabulous restaurant for lunch, take a walk down Canal Street, do some sightseeing and make a few yarn shop pit-stops. We’re taking the BOLT bus down early from South Station and will return late night. If you are interested in joining this FIRST ANNUAL STITCH HOUSE SHOPPING TRIP let me know by Wednesday, June 17th. All specific details will be forwarded then.

Quick Sew is this Friday from 6-8pm. Katie’s open enrollment Intro to Knit class is Saturday morning and you can always just come in and knit.

Kids Camp is taking reservations! Here’s the low-down: we’re running a camp each week this summer for kids ages 8-12. Join us for week of fun, crafting, sewing and knitting. Themes for each week will be announced as we get closer to summer. All camps run Tuesday through Friday and are either half days or full days. Discounts given for multiple weeks and children.
