Stitch House Clubs

1st Friday Sweater Club:

Description:The Friday Night Sweater Club is a motivated group of knitters with a wide range of abilities wanting to knit and chat while making a sweater. By creating this atmosphere knitters will have an opportunity to enjoy the company of other knitters working on similar projects. Limited technical assistance will be provided during this club time. There is no fee charged to participate, but we encourage, and it is our hope, you will purchase your project materials from Stitch House. The 1st Fridays through June include Jan. 8 (second Friday due to holiday), Feb. 5, Mar. 5, Apr. 2, May 7 and June 4  from 6-8pm. Space is unlimited so join us! We provide the munchies- you bring your beverage of choice!

2nd Saturday Sock Club:

Description:The Saturday Sock Club is a motivated group of knitters with a wide range of abilities wanting to knit and chat while knitting socks – from the simple to the simply fantastic. By creating this atmosphere knitters will have an opportunity to enjoy the company of other knitters working on similar projects. Limited technical assistance will be provided during this club time. There is no fee charged to participate, but we encourage, and it is our hope, you will purchase your project materials from Stitch House. The Saturday Sock Club meets the 2nd Saturday of the month through June including Jan. 9, Feb. 13, Mar. 13, Apr. 10, May 8 & June 12 from 2-4pm.  Coffee & Tea will be served.

2nd Friday Quick Sew:

Description:The Friday Night Quick Sew Club is a motivated group of sewers with a wide range of abilities. By creating this atmosphere new and experienced sewers will have an opportunity to enjoy the company of other sewers on a Friday evening. Instruction and materials will be provided for each night and item description will be announced the week prior. The fee for this monthly club is $15 per session to cover the cost of all materials. The 2nd Fridays through June include Jan. 8, Feb. 12, Mar. 12, Apr. 9, May 14 and June 11 from 6-8pm. Light Refreshments will be served!

3rd Friday and/or 1st Sunday – The Great American Afghan Club:

Description: Too many of you have yearned to create one of the beautiful afghans part of the “Great American..” series so the Stitch House is making it a reality. Join us once a month to work on one square at a time and, in no time, you will have accomplished what you think is impossible. You will create your own Great American Afghan! The group goal is to stay on track and help each other out with a little peer pressure and a lot of encouragement. Limited technical assistance will be provided during this club time. There is no fee to participate in this club but we do hope you will buy your pattern and yarn at Stitch House. Join us on the 3rd Friday of each month through June including Jan. 15, Feb. 19, Mar. 19, Apr. 16, May 21 & June 18 from 6-8pm and/or the 1st Sunday of each month through June including Jan. 3, Feb. 7, Mar. 7, Apr. 4, May 2 & June 2 from 12-2pm. This club will continue through the summer and into the Fall. Light refreshments will be served during both meeting times.

Friday Afternoon Young Kids Craft Club:

Description:The Friday Afternoon Young Kids Craft Club meets from 4-5:30pm and is designed to provide kids ages 6-7-8 an opportunity to create a quick craft. Kids don’t need any experience to participate – just the desire to learn something new! Parents are invited to observe during the first and last 15 minutes of club time. Pick-up and drop-off times should be honored. There is a $10 fee to participate in this club and includes all project materials and a snack and drink. The Friday Afternoon Young Kids Craft Club meets through June including Jan. 22, Feb. 26, Mar. 26, May 28 & June 25 from 4-5:30 pm. Pre-registration required. Club size is limited to 10.

2nd Sunday Crochet Workshop:

Description:The Sunday Crochet Workshop Club is a motivated group of crocheters with a wide range of abilities wanting to crochet and chat while learning a new skill or working on new crochet techniques. Each month beginner techniques will be covered and a new stitch will be featured. A new pattern, sample yarn and various hooks will be available for use during this workshop time. Technical assistance will be provided during this workshop. There is a $10 fee to participate in this 2 hour workshop. The Sunday Crochet Workshop meets the 2nd Sunday of the month through June including Jan. 10, Feb. 14, Mar. 14, Apr. 11, May 9 and June 13 from 12 noon – 2pm. Light refreshments will be provided during this workshop time so please register so we have enough for all!

Last Friday Night Kids Craft Club:

Description:The Last Friday Night Kids Craft Club meets from 5-7pm and is designed to provide kids ages 8-12 an opportunity to sew or create a quick craft. Kids don’t need any experience to participate – just the desire to learn something new! Parents are invited to observe during the first and last 15 minutes of club time. Pick-up and drop-off times should be honored. There is a $15 fee to participate in this 2 hour club and includes all project materials and a slice of pizza and drink. The Last Friday Night Kids Craft Club meets through June including Jan. 29, Feb. 26, Mar. 26, Apr. 30, May 28 & June 25 from 5-7 pm. Pre-registration required. Club size is limited to 10.
