Description: This introductory sewing class will teach you the basics of machine sewing while making clothes for your kids! Pick your own pattern and cool fabric and get ready to start saving money. We recommend easy or beginner graded patterns and fun cotton prints. This is a great beginner class for those with young kids and a tight budget.
Instructor: Juliann Cydylo is an artist who has worked in Boston for the last 18 years. Her work is known for using materials and images influenced by dressmaking and costume. With the birth of her two children she has returned to the more practical side of sewing and hopes to pass that knowledge on.

Specifics: Kid’s Clothing runs 2 Wednesdays (July 23 and 30) from 6-8pm. The class cost (not inclusive of materials) of $40 is due at time of registration. This class requires the participant to purchase the materials necessary to complete the projects. Fabrics should be washed and ironed prior to class. Additional fabric will need to be purchased if time permits a second project; information will be given during class time.

  • Pattern of your choice graded as “easy” or “ beginner”
    • Suggestions: McCalls M4006 or McCalls M4756
  • Fabric and notions to complete the project
